The Children’s Discovery Camp may provide the place for learning.
But people make learning happen.
For the Camp to become something that lasts, we want to help develop people within the community who can support young children as they learn, play, and discover.
These local learning leaders will not be expected to know everything from the beginning. We envision providing training, learning materials, practical tools, and continuing guidance so they can become confident partners in the education and development of the children they know.
We Can Begin Before the Camp Is Built
We don’t have to wait for the Children’s Discovery Camp to be completed before we begin developing the people who will help make learning happen.
As the Camp takes shape, Lift PH Up can begin identifying potential local learning leaders and, as opportunities arise, provide training and support in early childhood learning, play-based activities, storytelling, reinforcing television-based lessons, child safeguarding, and other practical skills.
These are the people who may eventually help facilitate activities such as Ready to Learn, Little Readers, Counting Our Way Forward, and Learning Through Play.
How You Might Help Us
We’d love the opportunity to begin a conversation with organizations, foundations, universities, training institutions, and others who may be able to help us develop and support local learning leaders in Paluan.
