Build The Children’s Discovery Camp

BUILD A SAFE SPACE FOR LEARNING

The Children’s Discovery Camp Learning Environment

A child needs more than a lesson.
A child needs a place where learning feels safe.

For young IP children in Paluan, The Children’s Discovery Camp is envisioned as more than a building. It is a safe, welcoming and culturally respectful community space where children can learn, play, eat, and discover.

We want to create a place where early learning can happen consistently—within the children’s own community and in an environment designed with their needs in mind.

Building the space

Build A Safe Space for Learning supports the creation of the physical environment that will house The Children’s Discovery Camp.

This includes the pilot Learning Hut, child-friendly learning and play areas, appropriate furniture and storage, essential safety features, culturally appropriate elements, and basic solar-powered infrastructure where feasible.

We are building more than a room. We are creating a place where a child can begin.

How You Might Help Us

We’d love the opportunity to begin a conversation about how your organization, foundation, or company might help us create a safe and welcoming learning space for young IP children in Paluan.

LET’S START A CONVERSATION

Together, we can help turn an empty space into a place where children can learn, play, discover, and begin building their future.

More than a room: The Children’s Discovery Camp is envisioned to be a community-led early childhood development center serving 3–6-year-old IP children from the most remote sitios of Paluan — including Pinagbayanan and Mananao, areas that seldom receive support due to their distance and terrain. We want to create more than a structure— we want it be a safe and welcoming space where children can learn within their own community.
